Project worth 626,000 euros completed

CEDIS has completed the project to earth the neutral point in five 35/10 kV substations, enabling higher-quality and more reliable electricity supply for our customers. The project was worth 626,000 euros and covered four 35/10 kV substations in the coastal region (Dubovica, Miločer, Igalo and Grbalj), as well as the 35/10 kV “Tuzi” substation.

“The project to earth the neutral point at the “Dubovica” and “Miločer” 35/10 kV substations is worth close to 300,000 euros. In addition to improving voltage conditions for more than 10,000 customers supplied by these substations, it will create prospects for further development of the 10 kV network, as well as enable new customers to connect,” says Vojislav Vukadinović, the project coordinator in Budva.

The project also covers the 35/10 kV “Grbalj” substation, which supplies 93 10/0.4 kV substations. It will help improve voltage conditions, create prospects for further development of the 10 kV network and enable new customers to connect.

“The area supplied by the “Grbalj” substation is expanding. There is evident intensive construction of not only residential buildings but also tourist and industrial facilities, so this project will have a very positive impact on the area,” says Vladimir Perić, project coordinator for the Kotor area.

Earthing the neutral point will ensure much more stable and reliable operation of the distribution network in the area also supplied by the “Igalo” substation, which is likewise included in the project.

“The installation of new, more modern protective devices and the preparation of the 10 kV network help prevent damage to healthy sections of the network in the event of faults. It can be said with certainty that earthing the neutral point on the 10 kV network contributes to higher-quality electricity supply and greater safety for those working on the distribution network, as well as for people moving in its immediate vicinity,” said Milorad Samardžić, coordinator for Herceg Novi.

As part of this project, old relay devices in the aforementioned substations were replaced with new digital ones, providing a higher level of protection. This is key to improving supply reliability and ensuring the timely disconnection of faulty sections of the network.
