Public Statement by Rajko Radošević, Chairman of the CEDIS Board of Directors

CEDIS WITHDRAWS REQUEST TO DETERMINE REGULATORY ALLOWED REVENUE AND PRICES FOR THE USE OF THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

After considering the Information on Measures to Protect the Public Interest and the Letter of Intent received today and submitted by the Board of Directors of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, the CEDIS Board of Directors adopted a decision to withdraw the Request to Determine Regulatory Allowed Revenue and Prices for the Use of the Electricity Distribution System for the 2023–2025 period, which was submitted to the Regulatory Agency for Energy and Regulated Utility Services on 31 August of this year.

Namely, fully respecting the legal principle of independence of CEDIS’s governing bodies, the EPCG Board of Directors, following a careful analysis of the overall situation, expressed its intention to financially consolidate CEDIS, as the national distribution system operator, in accordance with the law. To this end, the EPCG Board of Directors undertook to select the optimal legal models for the financial consolidation of CEDIS by 15 December of this year, following the completion of all statutory and internal procedures.

Accordingly, optimal models are currently being considered with a view to financially consolidating CEDIS for as long as conditions on the energy market threaten the company’s liquidity.

We are confident that this decision represents an optimal balance of interests amid an unprecedented global crisis in the energy market.

Rajko Radošević

Chairman of the CEDIS Board of Directors
