Response Regarding the Article “They Are Hiring Party Activists on Permanent Contracts and Distributing Housing Loans”

We completely reject as inaccurate and sweeping the information stated in the article “They Are Hiring Party Activists on Permanent Contracts and Distributing Housing Loans”, published today. As a company whose most important resource is its employees, we are seeking to improve the overall organisation of work and operations through the new job classification system.

For some time, CEDIS has been working on amendments to the job classification act and preparing a new organisation of positions across the Company, because shortcomings were identified in the way the system functioned during the previous period, hindering the company’s operations. Accordingly, in the previous period, with the aim of identifying the best organisational model for CEDIS, we visited energy companies in the region to learn about the best organisational models and the experience of our neighbours, with a view to applying best practice.

We reject the claims that the new job classification system is being introduced to convert fixed-term contracts into permanent contracts, since nothing in the current job classification system that we found in place when we assumed our duties prevents such action.

In addition, work has been under way for some time on amendments to the Rulebook on Addressing Employees’ Housing Needs, with the aim of identifying optimal ways to address the housing needs of all CEDIS employees.

Management is operating without any pressure and is absolutely undeterred by malicious and inaccurate newspaper headlines, carrying out its regular duties professionally and responsibly. We note that this management has only just completed the first year of its four-year term and that, in accordance with the provisions of the Company’s Statute, there is absolutely no reason, based on its performance to date, for any potential dismissals.
