RESPONSE TO FALSE CLAIMS BY ALTERNATIVA CRNA GORA

Today, Alternativa Crna Gora published false information on its Facebook page regarding alleged expenses for per diems for official travel in Montenegro and abroad, as well as accommodation, transport and meal expenses incurred during official travel at CEDIS over the past three years.

In response to the post, and in order to provide the public with accurate and precise information, we hereby state the following:

Expenses for per diems for official travel in Montenegro and abroad, as well as accommodation, transport and meal expenses incurred during official travel in 2022, amounted to EUR 45,055.00.

Namely, since the “Rulebook on the Chart of Accounts and the Contents of Accounts in the Chart of Accounts for Legal Entities Registered to Conduct Business Activities and Other Legal Entities” entered into force in 2021, CEDIS, like other business entities, has been required under the aforementioned Rulebook to report not only items relating to per diems for official travel in Montenegro and abroad, as well as accommodation, transport and meal expenses incurred during official travel—which amounted to EUR 45,055.00 in the previous year—but also many other items under line 013 of the Statistical Annex.

The mandatory items in question also include: benefits paid to employees for winter supplies, purchase of a job position, assistance to employees and their family members, costs of compensation for paid rents, the obligation to provide compensation for accommodation and meals while working in the field, scholarship costs for pupils and students, as well as other employee expense reimbursements.

Therefore, expenses for per diems for official travel in Montenegro and abroad, as well as accommodation, transport and meal expenses incurred during official travel in 2022, did not amount to EUR 2,827,928.00, as published by Alternativa Crna Gora on its Facebook page, but to EUR 45,055.00, which is approximately the same level as in previous years.

The individual expenses are shown in the table below:

Finally, transparency is one of the most important principles underpinning CEDIS’s operations, and this will continue to be the case in the future.
