VPSCG and CEDIS Continue Their Cooperation

The Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro (VPSCG) and the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) have continued their cooperation, which dates back to 2016. The new sponsorship agreement was signed at the VPSCG premises in Podgorica by VPSCG Director Radovan Milinić and CEDIS Executive Director Zoran Đukanović.

VPSCG Director Radovan Milinić said that CEDIS’s support would make it much easier to plan the usually extensive preparations, not only for the “A” national team for Tokyo and Tbilisi, where the World League Final Tournament is to be held at the end of June, but also for our other national teams, of which our Federation has quite a few.

“The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System has been among the sponsors of our Federation without interruption since its establishment in 2016. The period of cooperation behind us clearly shows that it has been mutually satisfying, so I can only hope that it will continue for many years to come. I have no doubt that CEDIS, as a socially responsible and successful company, will remain committed to supporting Montenegro’s most successful national team. I am sure that coach Vladimir Gojković’s players will show a great deal more in the pool at the Games, but regardless of the result, this team has a guaranteed future for at least the next two Olympic cycles. I am convinced that this fully reassures CEDIS that its funds have been directed to the most successful athletes, those supported by every citizen of Montenegro and whose achievements on the international sports stage are a source of pride for the country. Without the support of our sponsors in recent years, with CEDIS contributing a significant share and also taking part in the organisational side, it would have been difficult to reach major competitions. This is a fact we often highlight, and we do so again on this occasion, for which we are immensely grateful. We also see this as an opportunity to invite other successful businesses that have not been affected, or have been affected to a much lesser extent, by the crisis caused by the coronavirus, to join our sponsor pool in the coming weeks, in this demanding Olympic year, so that all our national teams can continue achieving good results on the international stage,” Milinić concluded.

CEDIS Executive Director Zoran Đukanović said that the company, as a socially responsible business, was proud to partner with such a successful sports organisation as VPSCG.

“It is an honour and a privilege to support those who have brought so much sporting joy to Montenegro. That is why, since CEDIS was established, we have been partners of the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro and the “Montenegrin Sharks”. The “Sharks” represent Montenegro in the best possible light and have long been recognised by the international sporting community for their hard work and achievements. We are proud to partner with such a successful sports organisation, which has a tremendous influence on the development of sport and sports culture in Montenegro. We hope our support will help you prepare well for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where the competition will be tough and demanding. I believe you will make the nation proud once again, because the combination of your youth and experience holds great potential. Your effort in the pool, strong will, team spirit and fighting spirit, which you demonstrated particularly well during the qualifying tournament in Rotterdam, make you exceptional. We will be with you in Tokyo with all our hearts, hoping you will continue your run of outstanding results,” Đukanović said.
