CEDIS has completed the cable-laying works and the installation of cables in the facilities of the transformer stations, thereby completing the activities to integrate the 35/10 kV “Novi Ulcinj” transformer station within the planned timeframe. We would particularly like to note that all areas excavated for cable laying have been restored to their original condition.
CEDIS has also initiated the procedure for obtaining approval for temporary operation, and a commission for the technical inspection of the cables has been formed in parallel. The cables have undergone voltage testing, and no problems are expected during future operation.
We would like to remind you once again that the construction of this facility will directly improve the quality of electricity supply for 3,073 customers in the areas of Pinješa, Nova Mahala, Metriz, Prisan, the Old Town, as well as the Albatros, Mediteran and Holegro hotels. In addition, 5,527 customers in the central urban area can expect a better supply as a result of relieving the 35/10 kV “Grad” transformer station, which has been operating under overload during peak season for years.
