Works worth one million and 450 thousand euros successfully completed at the “Kličevo” substation

Following the successful replacement of the 10 kV switchgear at the 110/10 kV “Kličevo” substation, CEDIS commissioned the facility. The project involved an investment of one million and 450 thousand euros, directly improving the stability and quality of electricity supply for around eight thousand customers in the old part of Nikšić and in the settlements of Kličevo, Straševina, Vrtac and Kočani. The reconstruction included the installation of high-quality, air-insulated 10 kV equipment.

“The previous switchgear was built four decades ago, which is why this project is of exceptional importance for the quality of electricity supply to a significant part of the Nikšić customer base. It is also an indispensable infrastructure prerequisite for network expansion and the connection of new customers. The implementation of this project has made it possible to use the full capacity of the 110/10 kV transformers, which have a rated capacity of 31.5 MVA with forced cooling,” said representatives of the Development, Network Access and ICT Sector.

The Municipality of Nikšić is a focus of CEDIS’s investment activities. Over the past two years, around three million and 300 thousand euros has been invested solely through the Medium- and Low-Voltage Network Revitalisation Project to improve the quality of electricity supply to villages in the Municipality of Nikšić. Among the projects underway, the most significant is the construction of the 35/10 kV “Duklo” substation, valued at around two million euros, with work scheduled to begin in the middle of next year.

“Next year, work will begin on the construction of four more 35/10 kV substations: “Grbalj 2” and “Bigova” in Kotor, “Tri Krsta” in Tivat and “Volođa” in Pljevlja. Among the projects already underway, we also expect to complete the reconstruction of the 35/10 kV “Centar” substation in Podgorica next year. It supplies a large number of customers in the urban centre of the Capital City”, representatives of the Development Sector emphasised.

In 2021, CEDIS successfully completed works worth around 15 million euros. The largest amount, around 10 million euros, was invested in the revitalisation of the rural network.
