Consumption increased by 8.93 per cent compared to the same period last year

During May, users of the electricity distribution system consumed a total of 236,042,883 kWh of electricity, approximately the same level as in April, when 239,139,579 kWh was consumed. Consumption increased by 8.93 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The largest share of distributed electricity, around 33 per cent, was supplied to users in the areas of Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Tuzi and Cetinje (Region 2).

A total of 445,483 meters were read during May, representing 94.62 per cent of all metering points. The unread meters are mostly located in properties that are not permanently occupied. The meter reading rate at metering points equipped with new electronic meters was 98.5 per cent.

The Maintenance Sector teams carried out 353 field interventions, while the value of maintenance work on power facilities on the secondary network amounted to approximately €347,000.

520 new users were connected to the distribution network during May.

At the same time, 592 new electronic meters were installed, bringing the total number of metering points in Montenegro equipped with remotely controlled electronic meters to 384,258, or 81.6 per cent of total consumption.
