I need a temporary electricity connection. Who should I contact?

If you need electricity for the organisation of an event of public importance, you must submit an Application for a temporary connection to the local Network Access Service.

The conditions, method and procedure for connecting new customers to the electricity distribution system are defined in the Procedure for Issuing Connection Approval Decisions and Concluding Electricity Distribution System Connection Agreements.

To issue a connection approval decision for a customer connecting a temporary facility, and to conclude an electricity distribution system connection agreement with them, they must first submit an application (our form, completed by staff of the Network Access Service in the relevant region on every working day during the hours designated for serving customers, i.e. from 830 to 1030) together with the following documents:

  • approval or consent from the competent authority for the placement of the temporary facility, or an act from the competent authority confirming that consent or approval is not required,
  • a project prepared by an authorised organisation (single-line diagram with a power balance)
  • a photocopy of the applicant’s identity card, or an extract from the register containing the tax identification number and bank account details for legal entities
  • authorisation of the representative, where the application is submitted by an authorised representative.

The application must be submitted at least 20 days before the event.

Electricity distribution is impossible without technical losses resulting from the physical processes involved in transmitting electricity from producers to end users. The level of these losses depends on the technical characteristics of the network, its configuration, the volume of consumption and other factors. The Energy Regulatory Agency recognises technical losses of up to 8.43 per cent, and these are included in the price of electricity.

In addition to technical losses, there are also commercial losses resulting from electricity theft and unauthorised connections to the network. These losses are borne exclusively by CEDIS and paid for by us alone. In other words, the difference between total losses and technical losses is borne directly by our company.

In EU countries, consumers pay for losses of between 4 and 12 per cent.
