Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System – CEDIS donated 10 computers today to public preschool institutions in Podgorica, Nikšić, Cetinje, Bar, Budva, Herceg Novi, Kotor, Tivat and Berane. A ceremony was held on this occasion at the “Ljubica Popović” Public Preschool Institution, where children from the older group performed a programme prepared for the occasion.
On behalf of the directors of the public preschool institutions that received the computers, Slavica Luburić, Director of the “Ljubica Popović” Public Preschool Institution, thanked CEDIS for the donation, noting that the computers would certainly help them in their future work and in carrying out planned activities.
The Director of the Directorate for Preschool and Primary Education and Education of Persons with Special Educational Needs, Arijana Nikolić Vučinić, noted that CEDIS’s donation would greatly improve the technical equipment available at the preschools and that the new computers would help them respond appropriately when introducing and implementing services in the coming period. She added that the social responsibility demonstrated by CEDIS should serve as an example to other companies in Montenegro in recognising the needs of society.
CEDIS Head of Corporate Communications, Marija Jovović, noted that CEDIS had shown today that it is a company whose work is not limited to distributing electricity to more than 370,000 customers, but which also directs its activities towards supporting the development of various fields, including education, as an important component in the development of Montenegrin society.
“By donating 10 computers to public preschool institutions in Montenegro, CEDIS is providing support by improving their technical equipment, which will certainly contribute to better delivery of services that will facilitate communication between parents and preschool institutions,” Jovović emphasised, reminding those present that this is just one of the activities carried out by CEDIS as a socially responsible company in the recent period. She also noted that CEDIS would continue to support organisations working in education, healthcare, science, culture, sport and environmental protection.
