Today, CEDIS donated a telephone switchboard and telephone sets to the Red Cross of Montenegro.
The switchboard will help improve communication in the Red Cross’s facilities and, in turn, enable work to be carried out more efficiently. “We thank CEDIS for the donation. We are pleased that they have once again recognised the Red Cross as a partner and helped us further strengthen our capacities, contributing to improved efforts to respond to the needs of our beneficiaries,” said Jelena Dubak, Secretary General of the Red Cross of Montenegro.
The donation was presented to the Red Cross on behalf of CEDIS by Marija Jovović, Head of Corporate Communications. She noted that the two organisations cooperate closely. This year, the Red Cross trained around 500 CEDIS representatives from most Montenegrin municipalities in first aid. “We will continue to support humanitarian initiatives and organisations in order to help address social challenges and needs,” Jovović said.
CEDIS is a company recognised for its commitment to corporate social responsibility, and this donation demonstrates that such commitment can take many forms. The Red Cross hopes that other companies will follow its example, so that together they can respond as effectively as possible to the many humanitarian challenges.
