Representatives of the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) and the Montenegrin National Theatre signed a sponsorship agreement for visits by national theatres from the region to the CNP.
“As part of the programme marking the jubilee—20 years since the opening of the new building of the Montenegrin National Theatre—visits by national theatres from the region were an important event. In keeping with its mission and its concept of openness and connection with the regional theatre scene, the CNP is seeking, through these visits, to further strengthen ties with regional theatres, intensify cooperation and exchanges, and give local audiences an insight into contemporary theatre productions from the region.
Organising visits of this kind is always demanding, both financially and logistically, which is why CEDIS’s support is invaluable to us. Through this cooperation with the CNP, CEDIS has also confirmed that it recognises the need for and importance of investing in outstanding artistic programmes. We are therefore confident that our partnership will continue in the period ahead,” said Zorana Kralj, Director of the Montenegrin National Theatre.
Marija Jovović, Head of CEDIS’s Corporate Communications Department, noted that, as a socially responsible company, CEDIS recognised the importance of visits by national theatres from the region and supported this project as part of the CNP’s jubilee celebrations—20 years since the renovation of the theatre building—as well as the celebrations marking the company’s first year of operation.
“Culture is certainly one of the priority areas of CEDIS’s corporate social responsibility, alongside healthcare, education and sport. This is therefore only the beginning of CEDIS’s involvement in projects of this kind and similar initiatives that will enrich the cultural offering.

With CEDIS’s sponsorship, the Montenegrin National Theatre hosted the National Theatre in Sarajevo, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, the National Theatre in Belgrade and the Macedonian National Theatre in Skopje.
