To mark the successful completion of its second year of operations, the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System once again made valuable donations to the Clinical Centre of Montenegro and the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro.
As a company committed to social responsibility, CEDIS directed its activities in this area towards those most in need. CEDIS allocated EUR 30,000 to establish a Baby-Friendly Ward at the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro.
– Thanks to this valuable donation to the Clinical Centre, we will finally have a Baby-Friendly Ward, which is the global standard in obstetrics. Baby-friendly means that the mother stays with her child 24 hours a day and can always know exactly what is happening with her baby. I need not even say how important all this is for the healthy development of a newborn. CEDIS has shown how deeply it cares for our youngest citizens and society as a whole, said Zorica Kovačević, Director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro.
CEDIS Director Zoran Đukanović said that the company had completed another year of work and existence, and had already distinguished itself through its social responsibility, particularly in projects related to sport, education and the health of the youngest members of our society.
– This donation will enable the Clinical Centre to establish a Baby-Friendly Ward so that from their very first hours of life, our youngest can be with their mothers, which has been proven to be important for their future mental and physical development. CEDIS will continue to fully support projects of this kind in the period ahead, said Zoran Djukanović, Executive Director of CEDIS.
Montenegro’s image as a country was built above all through the outstanding results achieved by our athletes. This year, CEDIS is continuing its fine tradition of supporting the Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro with sponsorship of EUR 25,000, providing an important boost towards achieving even better sporting results.
At a ceremony, awards were presented to employees who stood out in 2017 through their dedication, skills, results and collegiality. Vojislav Vukadinović, Chief Project Management Engineer, was selected as CEDIS Employee of the Year, while Engineer Ivan Brajović, Head of the 35/x Substation and Cable Maintenance Service, was named Manager of the Year.
